River Bluff Farm Bed and Breakfast

We stayed at The Cottage at River Bluff Farm while traveling to Florida. What a cozy place to stay on a cold winter night. Loved the muffins and fresh duck eggs! Donna was so welcoming and made us feel like we landed home! The grounds are so pretty with river access and mountain and farm view’s. Would definitely stay here again.

What a spectacular place to get away from the world! I was driving from MA to FL and arrived with my 70 lb dog to our private cottage to find a welcome note, a home baked lemon poppyseed loaf and fresh farm eggs. My dog Theo was in heaven and I was close behind. Rolling meadows, big old trees, roosters crowing and cows mooing, and a path that leads down to the Shenandoah River. Donna was very helpful and responsive. The town of New Market was close by with a general store and restaurants. I’d highly recommend River Bluff Farm B&B.

We stayed for 4 days (3 nights) with another couple during the last week of October, and absolutely loved it. Very charming bed & breakfast with 3 very comfortable rooms, and a loft that is perfect for kids. There is also a lot of public spaces to spread-out including a TV room, a large kitchen that is connected to a seating room, and a comfortable deck with a barbecue. Donna is very accommodating and welcoming, willing to provide advice and assistances, and the breakfasts were great (different offering every day). My only regret is that we could not enjoy the splendid outdoors as much as we would like because of the weather - there is even more to do in the summer - I would love to visit again then. Just got back from a very relaxing 2 day anniversary get-away here. This was a last minute choice and I am very pleased I chose here. Donna is very accommodating and made us feel welcome and part of the family. Her breakfasts were flavorful and nutritional. Location is a little off the beaten path and that made for a quiet and enjoyable stay. The private bath was also a nice touch. We liked it so much we plan to return.

Donna was an excellent hostess. We enjoyed chatting with her and the other guests as she prepared and served a delicious breakfast each morning. We enjoyed walking out to the bluff and sitting on the porch to see the river. Every part of the home was spotlessly clean and the furnishings were comfortable. I would love to return again.
