Riptide Cafe

Hands down coffee - had a fantastic experience at this café in Friday Harbor! The water view and outdoor seating is absolutely stunning, providing a peaceful backdrop to enjoy your coffee. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. We got to celebrate birthday of one of the baristas while we were there :) The coffee and pastries both savory and sweet are yummy —perfectly brewed, baked and fresh. Plus, there’s a great selection of merchandise, making it easy to pick up a souvenir. Highly recommend this cozy spot for anyone visiting!

Excellent option for a quick breakfast before starting a day of exploring. We went at prime time - Saturday at 10 am, and were served very quickly, waiting only minutes for food and coffee. Avocado toast has an abundance of toppings. Cold brew was DELICIOUS. Staff was friendly and efficient. Would recommend and will definitely return.

Amazing coffee, amazing workers, amazing atmosphere. We were particularly impressed by the fun seasonal drinks that were extremely well done. The staff was incredible and the view from the cafe is so cute and peaceful. If you are one that likes your morning coffee run, you have to go here! Don’t waste your time anywhere else on the island.

Great cafe latte and a good setting overlooking the Harbor. It’s in the building where the San Juan Safari’s take whale watching bookings.

We came here every day during our five night stay in Friday Harbor. Love the smoothies and smoothie bowls, and the Waldron sandwich. All the employees were very nice! Great location right on the water.
