Ridgefield Park Public Library

The library is great! Friendly staff, quiet. I especially love the Local History Room on the lower level! It's a must visit when they are open. (Tuesday 10am to 2pm and Thursday 5pm to 8:00pm).

I go there to volunteer with kids and it’s always a blast because many of my friends are there too. I LOVE the quiet setting and I tend to get a lot of work done over there. I try to frequently visit from time to time and pick out new books to read. I also indulge myself for upcoming tests and quizzes by using the books over there to recap on many vital pieces of information. I love going to this library! ❣️

This library has always been a typical quiet resourceful place , but the workers here at Ridgefield park specifically the young man Tyler, He is of great help and the knowledge he has for books and computers is just reliable to customers. Him and another young lady needs to get paid more, they are more than workers, Truly great human beings, Thanks again Ty.

I absolutely love this place. Nice, helpful, welcoming staff -- always smiling. Bright and cheerful atmosphere. Throughout the year, this library has something fun for all ages -- from monthly movies to authors' visits and lectures to weekly adult coloring to crochet for children, teens, and adults. Their seasonal activities and gatherings are great as well. I especially look forward to the summer reading raffles, and the book and bake sales. This library is also part of the Bergen County Cooperative Library System. Pronounced “BUCKLES," the BCCLS is comprised of 77 public libraries in Essex, Hudson, Passaic, and Bergen counties. Via online requests (best way) or with the help of a librarian, you can rent materials from all of those libraries. For DVD lovers, it's like having 77

I regularly attend the Thursday Baby & Me class for ages 0 - 2 yrs old run by Ms. Peggy. This is one of my favorite classes in Bergen County. Ms Peggy really understands kids this age. Toys & bells are available thru the whole class for little ones who might have limited attention spans. There is always a felt board & each week there are different things on it. One week it was animals. Today it was different colored hearts. She sings a hello & good bye song mentioning each childs name so everyone can get to know each other. She reads age appropriate books & sings actions songs. Sometimes she has a parachute. The class ends with bubbles. My 7 month old grandson is entertained from start to finish.
