Icca Sushi

I don’t usually leave reviews, but Icca Sushi truly deserves one. I first heard of Icca Sushi from Threads, amongst the Korean community. My family likes to order sashimi/sushi platters for special occasions. Was not disappointed. The food quality and service are exceptional. I’ve tried many sushi spots in the north NJ Koreatown area, and the quality here is on another level and stands out. The owner is incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly. When I called to order the Special Combo Deluxe platter and mentioned it was my husband’s birthday and that he loves yellowtail, he went above and beyond. The chef clearly has a deep understanding of Japanese culture. The way he slices the fish and the background music set the mood perfectly. The sushi was absolutely delicious, and the shrimp tempura was just as tasty. However, the salad was a bit too spicy for my taste. It was a Monday night, and the restaurant was surprisingly quiet. That’s why we got complimentary green tea ice cream, which was a lovely surprise.

By and far the freshest tasting sashimi I have had in the area yet. At an affordable price too. Initially they had forgotten an item I ordered but when I called the store they were quick to express their apologies and even offered to drop it off themselves. They also make the best miso soup I’ve had to date. Thank you for the free takoyaki as well!!

Do yourself a favor, visit this place! It's the BEST SUSHI I've ever tried!! All the previous reviews are totally right! Great ambience, amazing food, the soups oh so tasty!! Use the "call button" to request your service!

I have ordered countless sushi platters, and Icca Sushi is one of the best in Northern NJ. I am shocked at the quality of the fish for the price. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed eating every piece of this heavenly platter. This will be my new sushi place!
