Rhinebeck Village Pizza & Restaurant

It was ok… the guy working was pretty rude and forced us to sit down, then getting mad at us for making his life harder by sitting. Pizza was incredible though, very flavorful and delicious! Calazone was weird but just not my thing.

My family has been coming here for pizza for the last 20+ years, a trip to village has been a weekly staple in our household. Unfortunately ever since the owner Al has retired the family atmosphere that once existed, the consistency and quality of the pizza has retired as well. Incredibly disappointing, quite possibly our last time coming.

5 stars for their lemonade since I didn’t try anything else. Was having a craving for ice-cold lemonade and wanted something as close to homemade as it gets! Five stars for the deliciously refreshing Tractor Beverage lemonade in a big slushie container by the register. Just the right amount of sweet and so much better than any lemonade you’d get at CVS. 5 stars!!!

The shop has that ole school pizza smell of the brick oven. The pizzas were great. Different coming back in summer to try ice cream, it looks interesting. The Mandarin cardamon drink is really refreshing.

Village Pizza in Rhinebeck is one of those places that quietly earns your respect bite by bite. It doesn’t try to reinvent pizza it just does it right, with care and confidence. The food is the real star here. The Margherita pizza is a standout: a beautifully balanced pie with a crisp yet tender crust, bright tomato sauce, and fresh mozzarella that melts into all the right places. The basil slice deserves special praise aromatic, herbaceous, and fresh, it adds that final, fragrant note that elevates a simple slice into something memorable. These are pizzas that reward slowing down and actually tasting what’s on the plate. Service, while friendly and attentive, leans on the slower side. That said, it feels more like a byproduct of a kitchen focused on quality rather than cutting corners.
