While searching for an authentic breakfast and brunch spot, I stumbled upon Restaurante La Bendición on Boston Avenue, and it turned out to be a hidden gem. The moment I walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere and the smell of freshly made tortillas set the tone for a great experience. I ordered the eggs with chorizo, black beans, and handmade tortillas, and every bite was packed with bold flavors. The eggs were perfectly scrambled with chorizo, creating a rich and slightly spicy taste, complemented by bits of sautéed tomato and onion. The black beans were well-seasoned and had a smooth, hearty texture that paired well with the crispy, golden-brown fried plantains. Good food! I came before they closed and the staff was kind to service me without any issues. The man managing the restaurant gave me a suggestion when I came in, which I appreciated. I ordered the caldo de gallina, and tacos de lengua. Both were good! The lengua tacos were tender and well flavored. The gallina soup was good! A bit low on vegetables, but it was good. Soup came with three tortillas. The hot sauce bar was very good! Their hot sauces are HOT & SPICY! But they are good. I drank the horchata and it was good too, tho I don’t think they had any ice options. They had a nice bread selection and chips, tho I did not partake. They also had coffee which looks good for the bread. Overall, good experience with good staff service.

The food is delicious, been twice.had pupusas(salvadorian dish)and huarache(mexican dish) beef soup, goodness, it was delicious. fresh pineapple juice, honeydew juice and horchata (mexican drink) sooo delicious. Very friendly folks. It's simple, hole in a wall, type of place, it's clean. It's a jewel. Love it, will go back for sure

Some of the most authentic, and best south American food I've had. Everything has a level of attention that surpasses any other local restaurant, right down to the black beans and rice being seasoned to perfection (most others just heat up the beans from a can). An absolute must if you have any love of food!

I ordered , Caldo (beef soup) and Huarache. I believe it's as close to a greedy San Salvadoran we can get. Missing the California and quite the shock of the price. $22 for soup. Granted everything has gone up and beef is gold in weight I missed the cabbage, squash, green beans and only got a half carrot and quarter potato. Not affordable so my wallet took a really big bite on this one so be aware. I don't think I'll be buying anymore and will put on my chef's hat to make my own. Order wisely. Follow up. I called twice to ask about the caldo price. Woman who answered hung up on me twice. Review has downgraded. Bad service so atmosphere is affected
