Restaurant & Taqueria Don José

Came in on a Sunday after church to grab a quick bite. Ordered the carne asada burrito to go. The place was very clean. The lady that took my order was nice and helpful with the recommendation. It didn’t take long for the burrito to come out. I asked for red hot sauce which they included 2 in the bag. First impression was I thought the burrito was a bit smaller than similar style restaurants. Much to my surprise, though, it wasn’t filled with rice and beans like other places. It had a very good balance of meat along with the other ingredients. The hot sauce was delicious and not terribly spicy. All-in-all I will definitely be coming back. Before tip, the burrito was just over $9 after tax which I consider very reasonable.

This place is amazing! The food is fresh, the presentation of the food is esthetically pleasing and the taste is unbelievable! It used to be a food cart here and now they have this beautiful restaurant to keep out of the weather. I’m coming back again!

This place is conveniently close to my house, and has delicious food! We like to get a breakfast burrito to go on the weekends and it never fails! Im glad to see they now have a sit down restaurant and upgraded from the cart. This place is definitely a hidden gem here in Vancouver! As a side note they recently switched to crinkle cut fries instead of normal...not that my vote matters but please never get rid of the crinkle cuts! 🤣 they are delicious!

This place exceeded my expectations! It's an unassuming spot next to a gas station but inside is clean and pleasant. The Quesobirria - Oh.My. Goodness - sooo yummy! 😋 I will definitely go again❤️

I had a fantastic burrito here one night after visiting the casino nearby. The gal was super friendly, and the service was fast. But that burrito was the star! I live too far to visit regularly, but I will definitely mark this as a must-stop Mexican place anytime I’m in the area.
