Tried this restaurant for the first time white visiting this lovely city, Myrtle Beach, SC. Thos person that helped us was Chris. They have several designated parking spots on the right side of the building. (facing the building on your right) colorful and bright outside with the Jamaican colors of yellow, green and black. It's a small place inside with about 3 tables thst seat 4 and a couple of counter tables. No menu on the ell and not much decor, but the food was tasty. Got hubby oxtails, with cabbage and a side of plantains. The oxtails could have been cooled a little longer but the amount was sufficient. In fact, compared to some other restaurants outside the area the amount for the price was less than most! That's a big plus. They were out of patties but we all know those go fast.
Food was delicious and tasty. Disappointed with the amount of meat received for price. Purchased 2 plates during dinner and very small. Don't get your money worth. 2 plates and 2 drinks with taxes I paid $48.22. The oxtails were cut in half with to much fat on them.
I'm from Bangladesh, and our cuisine has a lot of spices and flavors. I bought curried goat from here, and it had the exact same taste. The sides were spanish rice and potato salad. The potato was mashed with mustard oil, which is also the exact same style from my country. This made me feel like home.
My wife and I visited here recently because we've been looking to try more of the locally owned restaurants in the area. She ordered white rice, oxtail and jerk chicken. I ordered the goat curry, oxtail, white rice and baked mac and cheese. To start off with, the food is amazing! The spices were blended well and none of the dishes felt overwhelming in their seasonings. Portions are very large, they pack your container full. In fact, for two people, you may as well split one entree, because the portions are that big. The Jamaican sodas and beer available were quite good as well. Staff are friendly and laid back, it definitely has a comfortable family owned atmosphere to it. Now my one and only complaint is the menu design. Aesthetically, it's fine - it's all on one page and there's plenty
The food was great and the customer service was outstanding! I ordered the curried shrimp and oxtails for my friend both of us cleared our plates than ordered more to go. Definitely worth it and highly recommended. Thank me later
