Red Dog Inn

I'm hesitant to share a review because I would like to keep this place a secret for myself. Lodging on the Olympic Peninsula is not easy to find, and I hope to stay at the Red Dog Inn many times more. My recent and first stay there was extremely comfortable. The Whimsy Room had plenty of space for me and my son; the Lounge was a relaxing place to eat breakfast; and the View Room was a superb space to unwind and read a book. The owners are very accommodating and put a lot of attention to detail into making the Red Dog Inn a magical place. After this experience, staying at a typical hotel/motel is out of the question. One word of advice, I'd recommend driving below the speed limit when going in or out of the property - delightful deer are everywhere.

This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast, so we really didn’t know what to expect. But, we had a wonderful experience and have nothing but positive things to say! The host, MaryKaye was very friendly, helpful, and informative. Our room was very nice and had a spacious bathroom and we saw deer out our window each day. We would definitely stay here again!

MaryKaye offers kind, helpful hospitality in a lovely quiet B&B surrounded by woods and visited by deer. In addition to the guest rooms, there are several common-area rooms with comfortable decor, beautiful views, and a fascinating library. I really enjoyed staying there and only wish it could have been longer. Next time, it definitely will be!

Location is 5 stars for those seeking remote solitude on the north side of the Olympic Peninsula. The hosts have carefully curated everything from their unique decor to kitchen equipment and supplies, and games, books, snacks, and, and, and! We enjoyed the late summer weather, but fall and spring would be great, too. Be sure and visit the “general store” in nearby Joyce.

We enjoyed a very peaceful stay at the Red Dog Inn! It's a beautiful place to visit. We were able to spend a lot of time walking near Lake Crescent and also near the Strait of Juan DeFuca as well as time in Port Angeles. MaryKaye was helpful and provided just what we needed. The Inn was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We would be happy to visit again!
