East Beach

This is an excellent spot to get some sun and water! We set off early to get a good spot as it can get busy. We arrived at 9.10am and the parking lot was empty. The beach area is sandy and has a lot of shells / small rocks in it so water shoes are recommended. We took 3 SUP and an inflatable kayak. Water was a little choppy with 11miles per hour winds coming at us into the beach, but it wasn't impossible. The entry to the lake is shallow for about 50 yards before getting higher than an adults waist then drops off quickly. Water is turquoise and clean and the breeze helps keep things cool. The beach area also has a number of fire pits and picnic benches to have lunch / a snack, and there are also recycle and trash cans dotted around. Water clear and clean recommend bringing kayaks or some other paddle boat to explore the lake. There is a sunken old ferry nearby 30-50ft down that is real cool to find but it is a secret on where it is. There are public bathrooms there. Best lake ever!!!

Great little secluded spot. Super clear water and a restroom as well. Definitely worth a visit on a sunny day

This place reminds me of lake Tahoe! The water is super clear. Just beautiful and so worth the drive! Parking is very limited and gets super crowded on a weekend. No fees but a lot of places in that area require a discovery pass...so I don't know for sure. 1 restroom onsite and about 6 or so picnic tables. I'll be back for sure!

We must have come on a busy day as it was packed and loud (which is why I gave it 4 stars). I did not take away from the view, but if you want peace with a side of amazing views, this wasn't it for us. Parking is hard to come by and there were all sorts of families and kids having a blast...so no shade, happy for them. BUT as I said, it wasn't the serene spot we were looking for.
