Red Baron Drive-In (Apr-Aug)

We had a great lunch, burgers, fries and onion rings. We went back later for sundaes. What a cool drive in. They have indoor and outdoor seating or you can eat in your car and a car hop will take your order.

For being the talk of the town and crazy busy this place was super-average. Very nice waitstaff and quick service. The facilities seemed clean & nice. I was really hoping the food would stellar for a car-hop diner. Burger honestly tasted like fake meat being in the land of cattle. Fries were okay, shake was okay. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing? I’m sure we will give it another try someday.

I grew up eating here back in the early 80s. Came back to Afton for a family reunion and had to stop in. The decor has changed but the service and food hasn't changed much. They still offer slush puppies!. I had the Double bacon cheese burger, and the Baron Blast drink off the specialty drink menu. We shared a fries, tots, and onion rings. All were perfect, and just what I expected. They also serve fry sauce (aka pink sauce)..and the menu has lots of options. The waitress at the counter was super friendly, patient, and smiles for days. If she had a name tag, I would give her due credit. The only complaint I have..isn't so much the restaurants fault. But the dinning room was PACKED! And it seemed that is was mostly family's with small children, which is fine, bit the teenage

Red Baron has amazing food! Wish it was open all season long! It is always busy and you may have to wait but it’s worth it. The best is the Pastrami burger with onion rings or fries with their specialty drinks. Sweet treats are also very tasty here. Service is very attentive. Stop in at the Red Baron this summer!

My children and I love to treat ourselves to the Red Baron. Everyone can find just the right meal to make everyone happy. The car hop experience is diminishing in a lot of places and it is sinful to have that special little experience here. Always such friendly service and we look forward to next season!
