Me and my date went on a random Thursday and enjoyed the food to the tenth power. We ordered the chiktay aranso which was good!! It was a little spicy for me aka hot but the flavor was banging. For the main course I got the rara pasta with shrimp and it was cooked to perfection. The flavor was hitting my mouth from the first bite and I said I must come back. I highly recommend this place
Walked in and immediately felt this place had a great vibe. I had never tried Haitian food, knew it was different from Dominican food and was just hoping for something new. We got something new and also delicious and will definitely be back! Everything was so flavorful. Might be newly addicted to pikliz as an accompaniment to fatty foods!
To anyone on here that says the good is mid definitely has not had homemade Haitian food. I married into an amazing Haitian family and have had the privilege of eating many dinners with them. Rebel is where you need to go if you want authentic Haitian food, it was just like my mother in law was in that kitchen. Fresh, balanced and delicious…we could not find one negative. Our hostess/server Q was attentive and friendly, the bartender SD is no joke…the best lemon drop martini I’ve ever had! We had the privilege of meeting one of the owners Rafael who was so welcoming and truly humble about what he has accomplished with Rebel. We will very gladly make the 90 minute drive again, we are already making plans with friends!
As a Haitian who loves home-cooked Haitian food and is usually picky when it comes to Haitian restaurants, recommend this restaurant ! The food was good and delicious, I had no complaints for the food. And my friends who are from other cultures love the food too. I went on a weekday so it wasn't crowded. They also had Cremas, which is a sweet alcohol drink. They will let you sample it first if you ask and if you are not familiar with that drink. Since it's a very sweet, creamy drink with alcohol which is similar to Coquito but thicker, it's not for everyone, but I think people should try it. The restaurant had Haitian art on the walls and good Haitian music playing in the background. I recommend for people who want to try Haitian food and get a sense of the music and art. If you go, def
Friends took me here for first time. Food was authentic and delicious. There was a dj playing some good music. I liked the energy of the place like at any moment people may get up from there tables and start a dance party.
