Very friendly and cozy restaurant. Service was great. Price points are perfect. The food was fresh, tasty and delicious! Not to mention, the portion sizes are just right and will leave you feeling satisfied. The Eastern Shore Sweet Potato pancakes melt on your mouth and are highly recommended! Be sure to check this place out if visiting Cape Charles!
Food was awesome!! I ordered the 2 egg omelet and it was huge!! Packed with cheese and cooked perfectly!! My daughter got the French toast and it was crunchy on the outside and very full of cinnamon flavor. BF ordered pancakes and eggs over hard and that was perfect to! Thank you for making our last day in Cape Charles memorable! We will definitely be back our next trip!
While heading up to Chincoteague Island we stopped in Cape Charles to have breakfast here at Rayfield's. First I want to say that the prices here are very nice. Especially in today's world. Now for the food... I got the veggie omelette meal. It came with a 3 egg omelette onions mushrooms and tomatoes rye toast and a hash brown, and scrapple. Yes I said scrapple! The family got French toast with sausage and the little guy got a pancake with bacon. The pancake was HUGE! It was the size of the plate and had nice crispy edges. For me it didn't even need syrup. The French Toast looked good. The batter looked like it had cinnamon in it and was golden brown. The sausage was a bit different though coarse grind and split and grilled. It didn't taste like typical breakfast sausage. My meal was very
We have been to the pharmacy/store part numerous times but have never tried the fountain until now. The food was good but they were out of ham and hash browns for our visit. Service was good as well. The atmosphere takes you back in time.
We walked in at 11:30 am on Labor Day, only to be growled at by a surly employee. He said, "No more orders!" I'm sure I looked confused and then he said even louder, "No more orders!" He turned and walked away. There was no explanation or signs indicating that they were closing early for the holiday and there were other customers eating at some of the tables. There was no excuse for his attitude or behavior and I will be sure to not return.
