Ratana's Green Papaya Salad

Such good food! We tried their combo salad, Penang curry and basil fried rice (fried rice was off the menu but the owner was very nice and friendly to accommodate our request). Large portion size and such fresh, hearty food! Highly recommend if you are in Hilo area!

They catered my large gathering and the food was a hit! Very fresh, good portions and ingredients. The summer rolls were really good and everyone ate those quick. Their pad thai is also a winner. They were accommodating with the day/time I needed the party trays - I recommend them for sure large trays and catering.

We had pad Thai and Thai green curry which were both excellent. The owners were very friendly- overall a great experience.

We just had a fabulous experience at this lovely restaurant in Hilo! The portions were sizable, the prices were very reasonable, the flavors were beyond delicious, healthy, organic, and locally sourced, and the service was outstanding. The new dining area is pleasant and very nicely decorated. This is a wonderful family run business. The owner/cook made time to visit with us even though it was very close to closing time, and she undoubtedly had lots to do before going home. Her daughter, who took our order, and son were both delightful as well as her boyfriend. They all worked together to ensure we were happy customers, which we definitely were! Amazing food and huge portion. This hidden gem in Hilo is a must visit. They have tons of vegetarian options. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. Service was fast and easy on the pocket.
