I would give it 6 stars if I could. Great tasting and good prices. They even split a scoop in two kinds.

At Ali'i Ice, you can sample paletas in a rainbow of colors with a huge variety of tempting flavors! What are paletas? They look like popsicles, but they are way more delicious and satisfying. That's because this traditional Mexican dessert is made from fresh natural fruits such as strawberry and mango and also creamy ingredients like chocolate or peanut butter. Dairy and non-dairy options are both available. My favorite is chocolate + peanut butter, but I'm looking forward to trying the mango cream and green tea latte! They also sell shave ice and traditional ice cream. And the ladies serving you are as sweet as the treats themselves.

Great side stop to enjoy frozen fruit ice pops. Currently $2.50 per pop and has variety of flavors ranging from guava, li hing mui mango, L.O.G lilikoi orange guava, calamasi, strawberry cream, mango cream, lychee, sweet potato and many more. They also serve ice cream with unique local flavors! Definitely a must do pit stop in after lunch for a treat or in between excursions

An old fashioned ice cream shop is just what anyone needs to chill out- We love Ali'i Ice! They have so many local flavors to choose from: popsicles, shave ice and ice cream galore. We stop here on our weekly Liliuokalani Garden walk. If you haven't stopped here before, you might miss the ice cream counter. The building is low key and might be mistaken for ice service only. Don't be fooled! Cool off at the counter in their air conditioned shop or enjoy the covered seating outdoors.

Love the pelatas here. They have both dairy and non-dairy options available that taste divine. We tried Mango, Passionfruit, Matcha, Strawberry, Coffee and also Horchata. You should definitely check this place out if you’re in Hilo. Make sure you check what days they are open since the are closed on Wed & Sun. That May be subject to change due to the pandemic. We also tried their old fashioned sodas and malt, soooo good. Love this place and LeeAnns’ always friendly customer service.
