Truly the best ramen I’ve ever had (I’ve been to many Japanese restaurants in NYC and elsewhere in the US, but I have not had ramen in Japan). Both the black jack and the spicy miso were super flavorful and delicious. We’ll go back for sure to try more!
Clean and neat, open viewing of the ramen and sushi area. Staff was efficient. There's a lunch special of ramen + a half appetizer for an extra $4. The gyoza are deep-fried.. I should've asked as I prefer pan fried. The miso ramen, not bad, but the pork was cold and chewy on that and the Jack Black (spicy black garlic oil). Bao was good, though - crisp and reminded me of the old Ippudo bun before they went cheap.
I don’t know where to start. My husband and I came here today for some ramen and were greeted soo nicely. Eileen was our server and she was soo nice and kind. We ordered the gyoza and black jack ramen and I must say this place is truly authentic Japanese. The gyoza was soo good that we ordered another one and oh boy I must say it was good and the strawberry mochi we had was good too. We will definitely would come back here again. I’ve been to many ramen places in Long Island but nothing can compare to this place. Thank you for your warmth and kindness 🙂🙃
Went for dinner here during a NYC trip after shopping for some stationeries next door. We ordered the Miso Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen, and Black Tonkotsu Ramen. All 3 ramen broth were flavourful. My personal favourite was the Miso, but for people that like garlic, the Black Tonkotsu is the way to go, or even Black Jack if anyone appreciates some spice to their Black garlic oil ramen. We also ordered the New York roll, shrimp Tempura, and a few pieces of nigiri sushi. The roll was good with a great fish portion. The salmon nigiri were fatty and fresh. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner here. The servers are also friendly. There are bar and tables sittings available for different group sizes.
Arrived embarrassingly late to a going-away party at RamenYa, but luckily our incredibly patient waitress took pity on me. She guided me through the menu like a seasoned noodle scholar, and before I knew it, my bowl arrived faster than my guilt for being late. Our waitress was a true pro: patient, friendly, and impressively well-versed in the menu (she recommended the perfect ramen for my indecisive self). The broth was rich and layered, noodles perfectly chewy, and every bite delivered that cozy, feeling. Between the attentive service and flavor-packed food, Ramenya turns lateness into a perfectly timed treat.
