Purple Gables Bed & Breakfast

Travelled to Amherst and stayed at the Purple Gables for a college squash tournament. We were so happy with our choice to stay here! Very conveniently located. Lynda was a great hostess and provided wonderful breakfasts (even catered to husband's specific requests). House was very nicely furnished, clean, and there was plenty of room. Our daughter joined us, had her own room, and desk for studying. Lynda really went above and beyond, even returning some belongings we'd left behind. We would absolutely recommend this and would stay here again.

Lynda obviously loves hosting. Her gourmet breakfast is amazing. I will definitely be back!

My husband and I just spent two nights at Purple Gables, and loved it!. Lynda is a wonderful host -- warm, gracious, and welcoming. The suite includes every convenience -- hairdryer that actually works, magnifying mirror, full length mirror, place to put your toiletries, snacks, cold drinks, ironing board, wrapping paper (for that gift your brought and forgot to wrap), etc., etc. And Lynda's breakfasts are delicious! The location is very convenient, the place is quiet and yet near the center of Amherst.We cannot recommend Purple Gables highly enough! Y&D New York

My partner and I stayed at Purple Gables this past October while we celebrated our marriage over the long weekend. It was an absolutely perfect spot for us to enjoy our first days as a married couple! Our room was spacious, thoughtfully furnished, and clean. We had plenty of room to keep all our clothes and accessories for the weekend, as well as space to relax and unwind. It was great to have this beautiful spot to return to after all the emotions of the weekend; we felt so comfortable here. Lynda was an absolutely lovely host who made us delicious breakfasts each morning. We especially loved the cornbread and other baked goods she made! We will have happy memories of this spot for many years to come.

My daughter and I stayed at Purple Gables for two nights. It was everything we could have hoped for, and more! It is cozy, clean, and comfortable. Lynda is such a wonderful and genuine host, who welcomed us and made us feel right at home! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! In addition to the bed and breakfast itself, the location is perfect, just a few minutes and you are in the heart of Amherst!
