Pure-n-Simple Farm House Foods

The atmosphere is a country kitchen vibe. The chicken strips were juicy. If you enjoy a smokey flavor, try their BBQ sauce on the side. But that pistachio fluff pie. Oh my gawd. Now that was like eating a slice of heaven.

One of the cozier spots to grab some food and some of the best baked goods on this side of Wisconsin. I drive here an hour every couple months or so on the weekends just for this experience. The food takes a little longer to get to you, but everything is unbelievably fresh, tasty and homemade. Leave the city and suburbs behind for a bit and come out here.

What a nice find. We were looking for a place to grab a bite for lunch when we ran into this place out in the country. I ordered the chef salad. It was a little light on meat but tasted great. My wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich and it was excellent. The other half of the place is a cool country store filled with treats, trinkets, and clothing. I found myself a new destination when touring in the convertible.

We wandered in off Hwy. 8 on a Sunday afternoon looking for lunch, and found this fantastic farm eats spot! We loved feeding the animals off the side of the parking lot and thought the exterior was decorated so nice. When we walked in — we weren't exactly sure where to go and didn't find anyone at the front register. We walked around to find a written sign that said to pay at the other counter, so we went looking for the other counter. Passed a few tables, we saw two teenage girls sitting behind the deli counter scrolling on their phones. We all deserve a break, and it was obvious they had a busy breakfast for the amount of dirty tables around the room; however, "clean, then lean" is a policy they may need. Stopped in mid-afternoon on a Wednesday -- the place was deserted but a touch on the call button and we had immediate service. Food was excellent, but special mention for the cracked wheat bread and the Tuscan potato soup. And the pie -- OMG, that pie! Very good service, nice country store atmosphere, we'll be back.
