Pumpkintown General Store

This is an old gas station and store that serves breakfast and lunch. The decor is right from the past and takes you to another time. The food was great as was the service and staff. Located in Punpkintown, off SC highway 11 north of Pickens. We had 16 folks with us and were seated quickly at 9am but you may have to wait at peak times. I highly recommend this place!

Myself & my husband had a terrible experience at this nasty little hole in the wall restaurant. Maybe one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever encountered. 1st of all terrible service, our waitress was not just rude but hateful. We sat for 20 mins before we were brought a menu, then she tossed them on the table & said “are you ready to order” we said no obviously we had just gotten our menus, she snapped & said “well do you know what you want or not”. Despite that we still ordered bc it’s the only restaurant around. Our food was very simple 2 burgers & fries. The food came out cold & my order was made incorrectly. I took it back & the lady working the grill fixed it for me but still gave it to me now even colder bc she just took a bun out of the pack & put my old patty on there so I didn’t e

Wonderful breakfast! We had 8 total and they didn’t miss a beat!

Unexpectedly delicious and cozy! The food here was really good! Good ole southern cooking! Delicious homemade biscuits and hash browns with cheese and onions! Everything was delicious and the staff was super friendly! And I don’t know how this place appears bigger on the inside than it is on the outside!
