This is the friendliest town I have ever seen in my 71 years of life. I have been broke down over by McDonald's for about 5 weeks now, with car troubles. Somebody stopped by to check on me and, I'm told, posted about on Facebook. All of a sudden I had so many people, from the area, stop by to check on me. Are you alright. Do you need anything. Are you hungry. Can I get you some water. These were all frequent questions. One guy, without my asking, gave me $200. Four different times police officers showed up and none of them even asked for ID or even asked my name. It was always are you okay? Do you need anything? Even one of the officers gave me a 20 dollar bill. I am very grateful and I am very humbled by the outpouring of love and compassion that I have received here. Thank you everyone.
This is a truly outstanding local paper providing Doniphan and Ripley County with vital information concerning the community. This paper is very receptive to articles submitted by the public.
