Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Of all my 46 years of living and after moving through several states and towns in Maryland, this is hands down the WORST Popeyes I’ve ever been to. The food is never hot or fresh. Just look at this chicken…I bought it right when they opened today! Why does it look hard, black, dry and OLD!?? You’d think in this area the food would at least come out fresh, and the service would be decent. But it’s not. This location has had issue after issue. I even had to dispute a charge from here once.Today was the last straw. At this point, I refuse to come back. I’d rather drive out to Waldorf or La Plata before ever stepping foot in the Charlotte Hall Popeyes again.

What has happened to the taste of the food? Chicken is bland and missing that signature Popeyes flavor. Biscuits are blah. Cole slaw is suspect and the fries are horrible. Biting into chicken that has no seasoning is an absolute slap in the face. Get it right or close up shop!

I can't dispute all the negative reviews of this place but I've never had a negative experience here. I've never seen long lines or the inside dining area not open. I had lunch there today and the food was fine. The folks taking orders were friendly, quick and my food came out hot and quite tasty. The dining area was clean, albeit not crowded at all. I was the only one eating inside the restaurant at noon on a Saturday. I'm not sure what that says overall but I didn't mind.

Alisha was amazing! She came in and was the only person running the store due to weather and employee call outs. She was so quick and very friendly! Props to her and her determination.
