Poor Betty's

Great food made by nice people. We had the cheese curds, Korean wings and the halibut po-boy. All were excellent and we left with full bellies. Valdez Brewing allows you to bring the food in while you have your choice of cold beers.

No idea what the deal is but this is nothing like the reviews/photos show as of Sept 18 2025. I'm 100% sure it was Poor Betty's (the sign said so) but the menu is just a burger and fries, the most normal average burger and fries you can imagine, for $21. No seasoning, nothing special at all, very confusing. Do not come here, very disappointing The menu didn't have any shrimp basket, or cheese curds, or fish and chips, and the quality was nothing like the pics show

We had our first halibut and chips of our Alaska trip from Poor Betty’s - loved it! Great tasting fish, Cajun fries were great, and the fish dipping sauce was very tasty.

Their Bavarian pretzels are so good. Sometimes I just stop by after work to get a pretzel with the spicy ranch sauce!!!!! My nephew came into town and he wanted to go get Poor Bettys every night that he was here!!!! Their patty melt is to die for it is so good

Amazing!!! I got the shrimp basket expecting it to be small for the price and it was not. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, lightly battered yet crisp. Every fry in the basket had seasoning on it. The sauce that comes with the basket is unique and delicious. The place is conveniently located right outside the Valdez Brewery. Definitely give it a try if you haven’t.
