My colleagues and I order from this place regularly and spend a decent amount of money each time. Although tipping is not mandatory, we still make a point to tip. A couple of weeks ago, we ordered the ceviche and it was very disappointing, it tasted like the fish had not been properly cleaned or prepared. Today, we placed another order and a soda I paid for was missing. I called the restaurant, and the staff member told me the delivery guy would bring it, which he did. I was also told the delivery would take 40 minutes, but it took over an hour. We also recieved a text that we are “too far” and that we never tip, which was upsetting and inaccurate. This is walking distance from a friend's house. We went for an early dinner. We decided on the chicken special with rice and beans and a salad. We also enjoyed red sangria. The prices are very reasonable. Everything was great! The restaurant is simple, bright and clean. The server was attentive. We did not feel rushed. We will go here again.

The food is awesome! Very tasty! Will go for the seafood fried rice & seafood soup anyday! Have to visit again to try some other of their delicacies! We've also tried the rotissierie chicken with rice & beans and seafood stew, empanadas. No complaints whatsoever! Update: everything in this place is awesome & Franklin is the best!! Very disappointing experience. Normally, you can choose how much tip to leave, but at this restaurant they don’t give you the option — they automatically charge 18% tip without clearly notifying you at the end. The food wasn’t good. I ordered bistec a lo pobre and didn’t even get a proper knife to cut it. I also made a mistake ordering a drink and asked the waiter if I could switch it (saying I’d still pay if not). He just took the drink without replying and then charged me anyway. On top of that, there was a guy singing like a karaoke or live event, and honestly it was way too loud. You couldn’t even have a proper conversation at the table. What was supposed to be a calm dinner turned into an uncomfortable, noisy evening. Service was indifferent and inattentive. For the prices they cha
