Pollo Campero

While dropping my friend off at work, we passed Pollo Campero, and she described it as the “Spanish Popeyes,” raving about their grilled chicken. After dropping her off and before hopping on the highway, I decided to stop in and see what the hype was about. The restaurant wasn’t very busy when I arrived. I ordered the 3-piece grilled chicken meal with one side and chose the fried plantains. I drove about 20 minutes home, and the food was still warm when I arrived. The chicken was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked nicely. I didn’t love finding feathers still on the tip of one wing, but aside from that, the chicken was solid. Im not sure how they aren't more popular with how good their chicken is. Like some big investor if you read this. They would put every national chicken place in the country out of business. Just maintain the quality. Food is flavorful not dry not over seasoned everything was just right. Not greasy or slimy. I've been here twice by happenstance once getting fried next getting grilled. I loved both. I'm officially a fan. Only problem is I live to far away 😂

I ordered the 2 piece combo with Yuca Fries. They had the best flavored chicken. Juicy, wish it was more crispy. I wish I had gotten the rice side dish, because that goes well with it. Yuca Fries and Horchata were very good too. I'm definitely coming back for their grilled chicken next time.

This was our first time trying Pollo Campero in the U.S. and was really blown away on how delicious it taste like back home in Guatemala. The Yuca fries are to die for. They are soft, moist, and crispy on the outside. The chicken was delicious and juicy. Our order came out as expected. The chicken was extra fresh out the oil. The staff here were very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is clean, especially the two bathrooms (you will need a code from the cashier to unlock the bathroom doors), and quiet. This is located in a busy area but there is parking at the back of the restaurant! I highly recommend stopping here to grab some fresh chicken to eat!

The manager Gisela was very friendly and amazing ,I had a great experience while dinning, the staff are great at doing their job, very clean and hospitable and the food is really delicious. I will definitely come again and again
