Plainfield Gyro & Deli

I recently visited Plainfield Gyro & Deli and had the pleasure of trying their Falafel Gyro made with authentic Greek ingredients. It was an absolute delight! The falafel was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. It was paired beautifully with fresh veggies and creamy tzatziki sauce. The pita was hand-made, brought from Greece, and warm and soft, wrapping everything together just right. I had it with their special Spicy Feta & Tzatziki sauce, which added a delightful kick. You could really taste the quality and care put into each bite. Plainfield Falafel Gyro is a hidden gem in Plainfield, and I highly recommend it to anyone craving a delicious Mediterranean bite!

So excited to have a new Greek takeout option so had to check it out. Had their very authentic horiatiki salad and they made up a chicken souvlaki platter for us with tzatziki, salad , rice, and French fries. All delicious! The owner Sachin came out and spent a good amount of time explaining the menu and welcoming us… a great guy. We’ll definitely be back!

I had a great experience here! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was inviting and clean, making it a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy a meal. What really stood out was the excellent service—the staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit even better. On top of that, the wait time was impressively quick—I got my food in under ten minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and look forward to coming back to!

Went out yesterday to meet some friends- first time having a gyro in Plainfield! I started with the saganaki bites as an appetizer, just the right touch of honey to balance the cheesy goodness. I couldn’t resist trying the portokalopita (orange cake) before my entrée, the handheld beef & lamb gyro. Wow, the tzatziki sauce was incredible! It really brought the whole gyro together. You’ve got to try it for yourself. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Very friendly staff and owners! I had the beef and lamb gyro and it was amazing, great flavor and the tzatziki sauce was the best I’ve had! The saganaki bites were also really cheesy and delicious and a lightly sweet giving both a sweet and savory taste. I will definitely be returning and recommending to all my friends!
