Playa Bowls

They were patient while I looked over the menu to decide, but once I had they were quick and efficient. The acai with a mixture of fruit was delicious with the slightest drizzle of honey. I say slight, but it wasn't skimpy, it was just right. Added just enough to elevate it without overpowering. A tad pricey, but VERY good, not a complaint, but be aware.

I was so excited to see the Apex location in the heart of downtown across from Common Grounds. The vibe is beachy and tropical- even on a rainy day! Their menu is extensive yet easy to navigate. They offer smoothie bowls sorted by type (Açai, green, Banana etc). I order the green power and asked for no granola. I was able to swap out granola for an item on the add list so I picked bee pollen. The team was so friendly and helpful. I recommend signing up for their rewards program so you can accumulate points. I took my bowl to go and enjoyed it at home. The flavors were fresh and amazing and I will definitely be back. Also check their board for daily specials ($2 off smoothies and free protein Friday as an example).

Fantastic staff and Delicious bowls. I have been already twice in the last two weeks. The fruits are fresh and ripe. The inside of the store has very cute sitting but it does get a little loud with the blenders running, but it is not bad at all. They also have a little hit of outside sitting. So many choices I can’t wait to try more of them.

We came to Playa Bowls in Downtown Apex and were immediately met with the friendliest and warm greeting. Our group of 8 was attended to quickly and Ari accurately filled our orders. EVERY item was fresh and tasted incredible. I highly recommend this location and visiting frequently…we certainly will!

I arrived at 7:45pm on Saturday, March 7th and both doors were locked. The website says they are open until 8pm. I knocked on the door. There was an employee, Alessia, in the store cleaning up who noticed me and ignored me. I kept knocking. Another customer came up to me outside and said she had been waiting since 7:35pm and they ignored her too. Then another employee, Genevieve, walked around, noticed me, and slowly came and unlocked the door. She opened it but didn’t let me in. She said “Can I help you?” I said “Are you open until 8pm?” And she said “Yeah, what do you want?” And I said “Can I order?” Then she finally let me and the other customer in.
