Pizza Shoppe

We ordered a King Pizza ($25.50) from Pizza Shoppe and used a coupon for a free Prince Pizza. When we got home, the King pizza was overdone. After contacting the restaurant, they offered to remake it, but by the time we would have waited, picked it up, and returned home, it would have been another 45–50 minutes. We requested a refund instead. The King Pizza was refunded, but the Prince Pizza was not. The owner mentioned she felt the pizza was only “slightly” overcooked. Overall, we were disappointed with the quality and the handling of the situation.

Pizza is great. Service is borderline rude. I asked for extra pepperoni for my salad. They gave me one piece. We went to a party there with 30 people. My son ordered a mini cheese pizza for a four year old boy. They made him pay for a small. On a separate occasion I ordered a small pizza. They came out with large and the owner insisted we pay for a medium.Pizza Shoppe sells $25 gift cards that come with a king pizza you can use after Jan. 1st. I purchased the gift card in Olathe. On the last day I could use the coupon, we were in Blue Springs and ordered a large pizza. When the bill came, I gave them the coupon. Great classic pizza joint.... With absolutely the best pizza in Kansas City. Minsky's might come close but the crust is what sets this place apart from others. I absolutely love the exposed brick inside and if you need a event space there's a larger area in the back. Great for kids birthdays... Or you could hold a meeting.

Went with a large party that had a room reserved. About 30 minutes in I went up front to ask if I needed to place my order there. The lady screamed at me that she was busy and wasn’t the server back there. I went and sat back down. About 15 minutes later - I went back up front and the waitress was so sweet and was ready to take my order and super apologetic. I told her about the other lady and I was taken back to hear that it was the owner who yelled at me. At that point we were about halfway done with the awards so I decided this establishment didn’t deserve my business and I would grab a pizza from somewhere else on my way home. The pizza was ok. I wasn't a big fan of the chicken wings. I asked for the crispy/well done, and they wasn't. But the service was good and good environment inside and out.
