It's been years since I have stop by Pio Pio and in the last three months I had the pleasure to dine here twice. Happy to say both times were just how I remembered. Quick seating and fast service with really good food. I went with my go-to... Empanadas de Pollo: stuffed with shredded juanita's chicken. Always tasty but if I'm honest I can definitely do without the whole olives. Not a fan. Arroz Chaufa: Peruvian style fried rice mixed with chicken, bean sprouts, scallions, & soy sauce. With added shrimp for an additional cost. This dish always hits the spot especially with a heavy drizzle of the green sauce and washed down by a good passion fruit margarita. The portion size is also great and always provides for a tasty lunch the next day. Just A Note: Great for a group or a table for

Everything about this place was perfect. They opened promptly at 11am, just in time for my lunch break. Server was attentive, food was flavorful. I got the Seafood rice and my aunt got the Salmon del Pio. The calamari was great. The sauce had great flavor. The Sangrias were perfect! I love the drinks. Will return and I recommend to anyone.

Excellent food and service!! Delicious Peruvian cuisine; we ordered the matador combo which included the juiciest chicken and the jalea was also great. our waiter was attentive and the service was fairly quick. Family friendly as well and the music was a normal volume allowing for dinner conversation.

The restaurant was impressive, with a welcoming environment, delicious food and quick service. The chicken was especially flavorful and even the salad - a dish I usually don’t enjoy at restaurants - was fresh and tasty. The maduros side was also excellent and the prices were very reasonable, making the meal well worth it. I’m already looking forward to returning! I couldn’t also forget to mention how delicious those hand cut French fries were….

Have they changed owners at 94th and Amsterdam?! Authenticity has disappeared! Ceviche is different, no tomatoes in the lomo saltado--WHAT??!! Ugh, no longer a good place to eat for those who know how the food SHOULD taste. Hopefully the other restaurants in the chain are more authentic. Avoid the one on Amsterdam in the Upper Westside.
