Great home style cooking. Portion sizes could be a little bit bigger. Roast beef ( hot ) had just regular white sliced bread with not enough gravy. Haluska was good and portion size was great. It came with a fresh salad which was very fresh and I had homemade blue cheese dressing. Drinks were excellent and they pour heavy. I had potatoe, ham and green bean which was excellent. Husband had corn chowder which was excellent. Service quick and is family run. We had one drink each and the total bill was 66.68. without tip.
I am not often generous with praise, but I just can’t help myself. I am traveling and happened to be in Somerset, PA. I had scoped out the local restaurants, and thought I had the best one on my list. I was WRONG. When we got to our hotel, the desk staff handed me a business card with a discount on it. I like discounts, but the restaurant had not made the cut in my research. The staff then went on about how great the place is. When I travel, I take recommendations from locals VERY seriously. So I redid my research on the place. The menu was good despite the graphics on the website. I decided to make them a centerpiece of my meal plans. The Pine Grill looks Plain on the outside and that was a misrepresentation. We walked into what came across as e wood-paneled cabin with rustic d
Stopped here one night after a long drive, and had an amazing dinner for an incredible price. The server was very kind, I’ll definitely try to come back there if I’m ever in the area
The male host that was there for us was not jovial enough to be a host. Haha. But the pimento cheese burger I got for lunch was SO GOOD. The sweet, salty, and spicy all balanced very well in this burger. The fries and mashed potatoes and chicken wrap were fine.
This restaurant was recommended to us in our travels through the area. The Pine Grill Restaurant serves up regular American fare in a rustic, old-fashioned dining room. The service was fantastic we had a very friendly and attentive waitress. Food was ok- the best stand out was the side salad that had very good tomatoes, cucumbers, and dressing.
