The Chubby Chipmunk

This was a fantastic find. Great little restaurant with a lot of unique and wonderful flavors. I had the special tomorrow which was a chicken and eggplant curry stuffed sweet potato with carrot ginger RAITA and talked with local bean sprouts. It was to die for. I also had the slow roasted lamb and Gruyère grilled cheese. The two women that run the place were friendly and informative. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy — the kind of spot that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff could not be nicer: friendly, attentive, and genuinely proud of what they serve. And the food… unreal. Everything tasted super fresh, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. This sandwich was next-level — tender meat, perfectly melted cheese, and bread that was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Every bite was better than the last. Had the butternut squash falafel and the pecan tart, truly some of the best vegetarian food I’ve had in a long time. The flavors were rich, balanced, and absolutely memorable. 🍽️✨ The atmosphere is warm, homey, and genuinely inviting… a cozy little hot spot right in the heart of Somerset. Even better, the other patrons were so friendly and welcoming that I ended up striking up conversation and having an unexpectedly wonderful outing. It really added to the whole experience. I’ve officially added The Chubby Chipmunk to my list of regular go-to spots whenever I’m in the area. Highly recommend!

Great food. Mortadella and Burrata baguette was superb. One of the best sandwiches I've had in recent memory. Will be back next week to try more. I will say that I wish they had more in the way of sides other than grapes, and it is pretty cold inside. Kind of have to leave your jacket on if you eat in during the winter. But overall, the food is very flavorful, creative, and the ingredients are fresh.

This is a really neat little restaurant. There is a wide variety of food on the menu and I wanted to try everything. The dish that I ordered was very good. Prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly. I pass through the area a few times per year and I am very happy that the Chubby Chipmunk is there now because of the exciting menu options and cozy atmosphere.
