Picante's South West Mexican Grill

We happened upon this charming restaurant while traveling. It’s a little hard to find, but soooooo worthwhile. Absolutely the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time - all the standards that you might expect, but some unique flavors and combos too. We had the fish ceviche, tostones con guacamole, chicken tortilla soup, and al pastor enchiladas, and every bite was scrumptious!

Update: We had dinner at Picantes again 2 years after our first time and it was even better. The food was excellent. I had enchiladas al pastor and it was really good. It's not inexpensive but the food was high quality. We were driving by late and very hungry. I thought I remembered seeing Picante's and we stopped in. It was our first time but will definitely not be our last. The food was excellent. I had a steak fajita burrito. The flavors were interesting and well balanced. My wife had vegetable quesadilla and loved it. The service was fast but not rushed and friendly.

Came here after a hike. Nachos were especially delicious. They had a cheese sauce on them. Wicked good. Chimichangas were delicious too. Had a couple beers. Great spot.

Such a delicious spot, hidden just off the road! Fantastic enchiladas al pastor, tostadas with guacamole, ceviche. And the owner is so so nice

Absolutely great food and great service! One of the cooks gave my crew and I free shots! Will come back here every year with the crew I work with! 100/10
