Picantes Mexican Grill

So happy I came. I had parked at another restaurant in the area but looked up reviews and decided to try this place instead. Molcajete was awesome, the staff was attentive and genuinely happy. True hospitality and authentic tasting food. Plus they give you a little carafe of salsa for your chips. You don't run out. Also they serve more Mexican beer than whats on the menu so be sure to ask. You'll be happy you gave them a shot.

In town for a sporting event at the local college. My friend and I just wanted some guac, salsa, chips and a margarita. We saw they were rated a top mexican food place so we thought we'd give it a try. We started with margaritas I ordered mango and my friend got strawberry. I have never had a mango margarita arrive that was green. I tried it thinking maybe they brought me green apple by mistake.. nope not apple, not really any flavor I could detect other than alcohol so whatever, I'll drink it. My friend the. Looked up the ingredients for her strawberry margarita. Realized it's got red dye 40 and she's allergic, so we switch. Still can't taste the flavor. Ok I'll drink it. Great chips and dip and margaritas. They have tacos Al pastor and they are authentic. Great place for real Mexican food. If you want something less authentic go somewhere else. 10/10

This was a hidden gem 💎 in my view. It was bust but in the best manageable way. The customers were smiling and laughing, the workers were energetic and happy. Our server was alert and attentive. The men's bathroom was properly stocked and clean along with the entire restaurant. The only minor thing was my wings had too much fat on them but that's just me, most people love that. I was so excited and there was great music playing I forgot to take pictures of the food🤦🏿‍♂️. But I will be back.

Great atmosphere, this is my 3rd time here. I love it. I got the chimichanga loco which was a fried tortilla wrapped like a burrito filled with steak, shrimp, beef, sausage, Mexican sausage (chorizo), grilled veggies (tomatoes, onions, peppers, squash, zucchini) then covered with queso. Sides : rice, refried beans, lettuce, pico de Gallo, guacamole , and sour cream. I had my favorite drink the pineapple margarita.
