The Bank by Pizza Shack

I found this place on Google Maps and it looked interesting. It is in the old town section. I walked in and up to the counter, ordered, and then took a seat outside on this gorgeous fall day. They have some very unique pizzas so it was hard to order. I just wanted to taste them all! I came close to trying the Thai Chicken pizza but opted for the Buffalo Ranch Chicken pizza instead. It was a great choice and came out piping hot. Luckily I was able to cool it off with a dip in the scrumptious ranch. Even though it was buffalo, it was quite mild. I thoroughly enjoyed it. With many pizzas, you think about the crust but I didn't with this one. It was there but it didn't take center stage over the toppings. The toppings were king on this thin crust. The Bank by Pizza Shack is a cool spot in Old Town Brickstreet Clinton as we call it. We ordered to-go after a basketball game, online, which was a breeze to order through their system. We got a medium Big Nasty which has meat and veggies and a medium(but they served us a large)Meat Eater(which is all meat). I need to stress how many toppings there are. There are TONS. The price for the pizzas started at about $23.00 for our mediums plus whatever you may want to add. The price is definitely worth the toppings they put on. We felt like we should have used a fork because it’s difficult to pick the piece of pizza up given the topping to dough ratio. The ratio also made the dough not as crispy as we are used to. The food here is always very good! The staff is great too! If you are ever in Clinton this is the pizza place for you. The service is pretty quick and it’s always a steady stream of people in and out. When the weather is good we love sitting outside.

The food was absolutely amazing. They had pizza with alligator on it. I have never even thought of that and I’m from Florida. They had a nice tap selection for a place this size and all our beers were great. They got kids working there so of course service could be better but the food is just amazing. Give it a try. Nice touch with the board games to play while you wait.

This is by far the best pizza place in Clinton, and one of the best pizza places in the Metro Area. Been here multiple times and I have never had a bad experience. I always get the kitchen sink pizza and the spinach artichoke dip and it always tastes great. The atmosphere is electric but small. That is the main drawback with this restaurant. And you really notice how small it is when it gets even a little busy. But other than that, I highly recommend it.
