Phat Daddy's on Da Tracks

Our first time in WV and our first time in Charleston and we were just passing through, but decided to stop here for dinner after a quick Google search. This place did not disappoint! Food was fantastic-I had a brisket dinner with Mac & cheese + coleslaw. My daughter had the ribeye - said it was the best steak she's had; "no offense dad." (Hubby is pretty talented at the grill so she must have REALLY liked it!) Hubby ordered the Mac n cheese wrap but it was late and they had run out of Mac n cheese, so he got the catfish dinner instead. Yum!) We ended with cupcakes to celebrate their 4th year in business and a really great chat with the lovely owner who clearly loves her community and her family. We loved this place and we'll be back; we'll send our friends too!

Can't recommend them enough! An amazing and hard working local family owned business that serves great food! Everyone is very friendly and it doesn't take long to get your food even when they're busy! The fried shrimp, catfish, and their white cheddar mac n' cheese are the best in the city!

Ordered takeout of some Empanadas and they were absolutely amazing! To find any empanadas in WV is a feat in itself but to find ones that taste authentic is rare. I will definitely be trying more things from this restaurant.

Stopped in on our way through town. Had the chopped chicken sandwich! The food & service (Kyle) were outstanding. Will definitely stop again.

I honestly had the best meal I’ve had in years here! I had the catfish nuggets and my wife had the brisket sandwich. Oh my god both were so damn good. The homemade tarter was amazing! I hope the chef knows how great they are! Ebony is one of the owners and she took care of us as well! She’s so kind and attentive. Honestly if I don’t come here once a week at least, I’ll be shocked! I also thought it was very cool that on the menu, they have a QR code where you can buy a meal for someone on the community in need. This place is all around amazing! I ate my food too quick to take any pictures 😂
