Okay today was the first day visiting Bowles BBQ in Sissonsville....A+++++....Off The Hook The Number 1 in my book now. Words can not describe this place except for OUTSTANDING!!!! the brisket sandwich with onion rings was my choice and so so tender, taste is great, husband got Philly cheese steak and fries...if you want a true Philly cheese then this is where you wanna be at and experience theirs...my sister got hotdogs and fries, she said they was great and fries was perfect...my niece got phillycheese steak and fries, she said I have been searching for years for a great Philly cheese steak and I have found it---she even told our awesome great waitress Autumn she had been searching and today she found it. My sister and niece are from South Carolina so they made sure they bought 2 bottles

Bowles Boyz has nailed BBQ sauce - Mountain Honey, House BBQ, Country Roads, INCREDIBLE! 🤤 For years, I have looked for a cheesesteak with the cheddar cheese sauce, the chewy gooey kind of cheesesteak and I finally found it; it was worth the wait! 😋 This little roadside gem has all the charm and delicious eats! We had the Fried Pickles, Fried Mushrooms, and Jalapeño Poppers all yummy and crunchy! 🍽 Autumn, our waitress, was full-on personality, and attentive! 😄

The employees are great. The ribs have a great flavor but not much rib meat. More than half is what you spit out not including the 2 bones in my 6 bone rib dinner. I've ordered the ribs multiple times, same result. My prior 2 dinners I ordered a Ribeye to go for each visit. Both times I received prime rib which I don't like. Shame on me for not checking and for not letting them know of their mistakes. My only complaint about the employees is PLEASE STOP ASKING FOR TIPS, FOR PICKUPS!!! I understand the system, however, its not the responsibility of customer to pay a employees salary. TIPS ARE EARNED BY SERVER FOR EXCELLENT SERVICE. Being that the customer is the judge, it renders the service provided to be subjective.

This homey stop is a hidden gem! The portions and prices were perfect. If you’re looking for good home cooking, you’ve got to try their pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheeese, and bread pudding. 🤤

I have been coming here since they opened but this is my first time since they opened up the other dining area. Such a huge upgrade. The sauces on each table to eat at your leisure is one of my favorite touches of any bbq place. There is too much to decide on just one. So I had the chicken and dumpling soup and 3 meats with all of the sauces and Mac and cheese. I couldn’t come here without eating the pickles as well! I will have to come back quite a few times to get all of it sampled. I enjoy the TVs in here also. Just in case a game is on I would like to watch while I eat. No bad experiences here and I am a customer for life. Keep this place going everyone!
