Perkins American Food Co.

I had just gotten through viewing all of the pretty decorated Christmas trees at the Festival of Trees and was a little hungry. I always get pumpkin muffins here during the holidays. This is the time of year I miss my mom the most. We would go see the trees together and often went to Perkins on our outings. So, this was a comfort snack and a good start to my staycation. The greeter/cashier got me seated quickly and was pleasant. She also checked back with me to ask if anyone had checked with me yet. She took my drink order. Just a few minutes later, my server took my order. I got french fries and a pumpkin muffin. The fries were fresh, hot, and crispy. The muffin was as delicious as I remembered it. We took 40 plus kids in after a musical production @ 10:15PM on a Friday night (called ahead of course!) And everything was fabulous, including the food, service, and waitresses!! There was another party in there just as big as ours and those servers were on the ball with everything! Drinks, food, refills! And nothing was cold, or soggy. 2nd year doing this for me and we will continue to use this facility. Thank you!!

Brought the family (two little ones in tow) out for a Friday breakfast and had the pleasure of being served by Pebble G. Now, let me just say—Pebble’s service was absolutely terrible… in the best way possible. She joked with us the whole time, kept the table laughing, and even let me tease her about being “shitty at her job” while still somehow managing to keep our coffee full and the food coming hot. The food itself hit the spot—classic Perkins comfort breakfast done right. Pancakes fluffy, eggs on point, and everything tasted fresh. But honestly, the real highlight was Pebble’s sense of humor and easy-going vibe. She made wrangling two kids at a restaurant feel less like chaos and more like fun. So yes, the food was good—but Pebble’s “bad” service made it even better. Highly recommend

I love coming here for a square meal. Cooking for one at home doesn’t give me the variety that you have! Pebble was my server and has been before. She is always cheerful and personable. Always service with a smile! I can tell she enjoys engaging and serving people! She makes me want to come back! Kudos to Pebble!

I enjoy breakfast and today I went to the Perkins on Collins Road, CR IA. My experience was good as usual. Today my waitress was Pebble, who always provides great service. The food was excellent but so was Pebble's service. She was attentive and made sure my meal was as requested. Thanks Pebble!
