Dua Pie

We had no idea that Dua Pie was a thing or that we'd be eating there last night. A Joe Bonamassa concert had us in town and we had an hour before the doors would open so we looked on Google Maps to see what our food options were nearby. Fortunately for us Dua Pie was the closest and I'm glad it was! The decor is very open and there's a loooong table in the center of the room for seating as well as a few booths on one side of the room. Evalyn was very helpful with these first timers and explained the options for us. We ended up going with the Calzones and they were fantastic! Stuffed with ricotta and mozzarella cheeses, sauce, and sausage. The dough is crisp yet still maintains a good chew too! Delicious, upbeat, and just a wonderful place...we'll definitely be back!

The short Dua Pie review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐‼️ I have eaten a lot of pizza. I think, for many of us, pizza is one of those cuisine staples, always around, a go to choice for gatherings or a quick dinner. During the last few years I have found my desire for pizza to be waning, I think I have simply had too much of it for too long. That attitude got a complete reset when I visited Dua Pie recently! Their menu is varied, the aroma was mouth watering (literally), and the food was “wake the kids and phone the neighbors” good! The downtown corner location, at the corner of 3rd Street & 4th Avenue, feels like a hip, big city spot. The interior is well designed, not ornamented or garish, but suble, sophisticated, and modern. We tried the buffalo chicken pizza at Dua Pie and it was absolutely amazing! The New York-style crust hit that perfect balance of crispy on the outside and soft, chewy in the middle, exactly what you want in a great pizza. Every bite had just the right flavor and texture, and you can tell they care about their dough and ingredients. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the menu has awesome options beyond pizza too, like stromboli, calzones, pasta, and subs all classic Italian meets New York style. Really excited to come back soon and try more. Highly recommend if you’re craving big, flavorful pizza with a perfect crust!

Great food!!! Loved the pizza and ravioli. These guys know what they are doing. Owners have great customer service, they came out and talked with customers. Awesome atmosphere.

We were blown away by how delicious everything was. We tried the Caesar salad, pepperoni roll, and calzone, and each one was fantastic - fresh ingredients, great flavor, and generous portions. Very cool atmosphere and food comes out quickly. Great addition to Cedar Rapids!
