The Perch absolutely delivers. Service was fast, smooth, and on point from the jump — no waiting around, no confusion, just handled. The food? Unreal. Fresh, flavorful, and done right. Every bite hit like it was made with intention, not rushed out the door. This bagel had that “Big Chief vibe” — confident, bold, and quietly reminding you who runs the kitchen. Perch at Jim Thorpe; Jesus how can I say this without being rude. The place was nice inside, its nicely set up with indoor and outdoor seating and the workers were pleasant. Other than that this place has nothing going for it in terms of the food and beverages, we ordered and ice coffee which was DISGUSTING had to send it back and we asked for a regular black coffee because how could you get that wrong. Let me tell, you they must have worked hard because that black coffee was disgusting, it tasted like water and sugar with black food coloring. The breakfast sandwiches we ordered looked good, but one bite into them and we realized they were bland. It's hard for me to put out bad reviews I mainly put positive reviews out there but I honestly felt scammed out of my money. Would not be back he

It's a must to visit Jim Thorpe town, and then have breakfast or lunch at the "Perch at Jim Thorpe" - which is actually located in Leighton. Only 5 minutes away from Jim Thorpe. The food is unbelievably fresh and cooked fantastic. Went inside for a bagel with cream cheese, but ended with a cheese steak. My option was chicken, but the beef sandwich was looking very good as well. I cannot describe in words the texture of it. Soft, creamy, delicate...I added also mushrooms, onions to it. You must try it! The staff is lovely, fast, and ready to help at any time. The store offers a lovely terrace for the summer season. For all this positive experience I would like to give credit where credit is due.

Great spot for breakfast. I recommend driving out here instead of the donut place in town. Great selection of bagels and different types of cream cheese. You can also get breakfast sandwiches, bagels, plates. Coffee is artisan, but decent. They have a really nice outdoor seating area as well. Go here and get breakfast!

I cannot say enough positive things about my recent experience at perch and Jim Thorpe. Not only was the food amazing – – best bagels outside of New York City? I think so – – but the staff was absolutely incredible. Traveling with two little ones under the age of five is exhausting to say the least, and this was hands-down our favorite meal with the best service we experienced our entire half week in this tiny city. Whoever was working the register around lunchtime on 4/23 was so kind and helpful (totally forgot to ask her name as I was trying to chase down my accident-prone 2-year-old. She was welcoming and warm, and made incredible recommendations on what to order off of the extensive menu, plus, she was so accommodating towards the strange quirks required for our four and two-year-old’s
