Big Creek Bar-B-Q

Pretty cool bbq spot, right off the road. The food is great and could use a bit more spices to amplify the flavor, but it feels fresh and nice, they have a beautiful sitting place just above the river. And prices are pretty reasonable!

Delicious pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches. The baked beans and corn bread were also tasty. There’s a nice shaded area down by the creek to enjoy your meal when the weather is nice.

Headed out to this spot while out on a camping trip with the family. Ordered the pint of brisket, pint of pork, potato, rolls, and beans. Everything was made quickly, came out fresh and hot and to top it off the service was awesome and friendly 😎 the only critique was that a pinch more of seasoning on everything. The sauces we ordered were great and made all the food over the top, but it would of been a five star if I could’ve eaten everything without the sauce and had the same enjoyment. Overall, check this place out. It’s defiantly worth the price!

I have eaten here before and the food was amazing. I’m not sure what changed but picked some food up yesterday and it was terrible. I got a brisket sandwhich and it was drier than sand, the white sauce was thinner than water and tastes like straight vinegar. My wife got pulled chicken and was given something that resembled shoe leather. They are normally great and I normally don’t let bad reviews but this was just insanity. I would suggest getting there early in the day so the meat isn’t sitting in a warmer all day.

You'd never think such great BBQ could be found smack dab in the middle of Pennsylvania, but Big Creek is there to prove you wrong. These guys know what roadside barbecue is all about! Highly recommend the Bacon Loaded Potato and the Rib Tips (as pictured).
