Pequot Lakes Public Library

Such a great library. Especially fun for our 1.5 year old. So much to see, do, and read!!

We love this volunteer run library! Everyone is always so kind. The children section is huge and it’s focused on creating a safe and fun place where kids enjoy being at by providing legos, puzzles, blocks, a pirate ship and a cozy corner. They do regular kid activities as well so it’s obvious youth are a priority to them. You can check out up to 15 books at a time, which is great for our larger family.

This library is a great place to check out a book or two. It is run entirely by volunteers and they are very nice and also helpful. This is a great spot for meetings. In addition, there is a kids room for kids with kids books and toys. This library has Wi-Fi and is perfect for working. It also has computers if you don't have one that you can use and the library has a printer. I would recommend getting a library card and becoming a patron. You will not regret it. For kids and teens the library cards are free, and for adults it is only five dollars. Now go to this library located right in town and become a patron.

Very friendly library staffed completely by volunteers. I go there often and have never heard anyone being "yelled at", as another review suggests. They ask how they can help you, suggest books if asked, and help with the computers. There's a weekly story hour for small children and a summer reading program plus talks for children in school.

The Pequot Lakes library is artfully designed to be welcoming and calm. There are weekly events where whole families can sign up to attend for a reasonable price. Their selection of DVDs is much larger than I expected for such a small library. Their book selection is easy to follow. There is a kids portion of the library that is set aside so the kids can be kids without disturbing adults who need a quiet place to work or study. Their system is set up so that folks who have summer residents in the area can also sign up and be involved.
