Penny Lane Ices Express

THIS IS JUST A GREAT PLACE AT AN UNEXPECTED FIND FOR ALBANY! Although I live in Guilderland given that this is a little bit off the beaten path, I have not been here. I love Italian ices and I love anything that brings a taste of New York City up here. Penny Lane checks both boxes. The owner/proprietor is a character and I was surprised to see him open on a freezing weekend day in February. He has a blackboard outside and probably has 20 or more different flavors which he will combine we wound up taking home a pint of mixed coconut and chocolate, a 1/2 pint of chocolate and cherry, and he gifted us a half pint of lime. All were wonderful! A bit on the expensive side I think but nice for a treat. I did buy a big quantity as above and it was $19. All the flavors were great. Will be back

The best Italian ice you can find!! The owner is truly an amazing person and such a generous guy!! Every time I go, he takes very good care of us And the ice is truly addicting I highly recommend a stop in and try it out! Thank you penny lane For amazing service every time and the best ice! Such a great spot, tucked away with an order counter and few outdoor picnic tables. You can sample flavors before ordering and they have a great selection of flavors and flavor combinations. Great place for anyone with allergies- mostly all dairy free flavors!

This place is amazing! I recently relocated from Queens to the Capital Region and this place is the real deal. There is a pretty good variety of ices that are all delicious. The staff is so friendly and made sure to wrap my to go pints well so they wouldn’t melt. I highly recommend if you are missing NYC or just want a delicious treat!

A delightful little place tucked away in a quiet corner. There's a nice variety of flavors to choose from, and the staff is friendly as all get out. Every flavor we tried was absolutely outstanding, and the gentleman working that night was patient and helpful as we navigatedthrough our first visit. We will be back, and we will be loading up on all sorts of flavors to bring back home.
