Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God

This is the only traditional and authentic Orthodox parish in the entire Albany area. If you want to see what an Orthodox service is all about, this is the place to go. The services are done half in English and half in Slavonic. This is an incredible community, and it exemplifies what the holy faith is all about. You won’t be disappointed. The choir is incredible, the iconography is beautiful. It feels like heaven on earth.

Nativity of the Mother of God Russian Orthodox Church is a very vibrant parish with many young people. The temple represents simple but traditional Russian Church architecture. The interior walls are replete with iconography which is an ongoing project. The parish is guided by the Archpriest Alexis Duncan.

An amazing place of faith, grace, and peace. Admire the heavenly singing of the choir, the beautiful murals and icons, the sweet scent of beeswax candles, and the meditative atmosphere.

The first time I came to this church was for the Great Consecration in September 2010 when I was 5 back when I lived in Rochester, NY and now I live in Albany, NY and I go to this parish every week

This is the church's fest day the Nativity of the Mother of God. She was born 2000 years ago and we still celebrate her birthday.
