Pearl Country Store & Barbecue

Finding seriously good barbecue inside of a gas station is a real treat. Tucked away in the tiny town of Micanopy, FL you’ll find Pearl Country Store & Barbeque. I read that the brisket was seriously good so I had to try it. I also got some ribs and two sides; Mac and cheese and collard greens. The brisket was chopped and the lean pieces were a little too lean for my taste but the fatty bits were absolutely divine. I think you may be able to ask for more fatty cuts. Their ribs were fall off the bone, yet had the perfect bite and chew. Their seasonings were fantastic. The homemade bbq sauces were all a little sweet for my taste. The Mac and cheese was ok at best. But their collards?! Fire. I would definitely recommend if you’re in the area or if you’re looking for a little day trip to visit

Best bbq in the area. Super friendly staff and fast service. $14 for a beef brisket sandwich (pile high of meat) and $17 for for pork sandwich with two sides. The banana pudding wasnt that good but the Mac n cheese was decent

This is a bbq joint inside a gas station. They do have inside seating and picnic tables outside. I ordered the regular size pork plate with collard greens and potato salad . It was all very good! My husband ordered the brisket and he said it was melt in your mouth good. He had macaroni and cheese and baked beans and they were super yummy to! Would’ve loved to try some desserts but we ate to much 🤣 Would eat here every time we are in the area. Just wanted to mention I gave 3 stars for service because the blonde server looked miserable and couldn’t bear to smile. 3 stars for atmosphere because it is in a gas station. Most people stopping in were a little weird 🤷🏼‍♀️

Food was great, brisket was very moist and tender. The pulled pork was very flavorful. The baked beans must be one of their best sides but the coleslaw was delicious. Service was quick and easy. Eating in the gas station can be new but it's ok if there is room, we had to get our Togo because the place was packed. Give this review a like ❤️ if you enjoy some good bbq or mark helpful👍. Get the bbq sauce it is a Texas flavor, sweet and smokey, we loved it.

Worst bbq we've ever had! I got the pork dinner and my brother got the brisket. The cook forgot to cut the fat off of both meats. I would say they were both 80% fat. I understand that pork is fatty but you could tell that the prepper just mixed everything together. Every. Single. Bite. Was full of fat. Couldn't even finish it. We both could only choke down about 10% of the serving size before we got entirely grossed out. Sides were great but man that fat with a little bit of meat mixed in was horrible.
