Blue Highway Pizzeria

We came for lunch midweek and they were pretty packed. Which told us this was a good choice. We had a great server, Jule, ( spelling?) and pretty efficient timing. I ordered an 8" pizza that would definitely serve 2 people and it had a perfect crust. My husband ordered a rueben and it was good, but couldn't help wondering about meat distribution...the meat was piled high in the center and none at edges, as if scooped on but not spread out. My sister enjoyed her grilled chicken sandwich. Both sandwiches were big enough to share. The bathroom was a source of humor. The sign said outhouse out back! You indeed had to exit the back door and go outside. But turn right and enter a perfectly serviceable bathroom.

We were there about a week ago. My husband ordered the wings and I ordered a make your own pizza. Both were excellent!! You already get extra points from me if you are cutting a fresh jalapeno for my pizza instead of the pickled ones. Was a little disappointed in the draft beer selection. They were out of quite a few. We ended up trying a local ipa in a can and it was great! Our server was outstanding also! We would eat here again in a heartbeat!

Stopped here for dinner off Highway 441 on our way back home. Upon arrival the parking was full and we parked on the shoulder of the highway. From outside you can smell the Italian aroma mixed with the smell from the anchovies. We sat at the bar, as the establishment is on the smaller side and all other tables and booths were taken. We were greeted immediately by the very friendly and welcoming staff. There is a tv behind the bar and you can watch the kitchen make the orders. We ordered the blue highway salad and micanopy salad to start. Then we ordered a margherita handtossed pizza made with their house-made marinara(which has anchovies) and extra basil. They have other crust options including vegan and gluten-free. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious! Would highly recom

This is a terrific place. Very friendly, delicious food, super enjoyable. Does seem to get crowded at times and not much parking, but we'll worth the trip. Staff is great and it is very memorable.

Great little pizza place! We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. Our waitress was friendly and quick service. I got the lemonade tondrink, which was made from scratch there and delicious! Pizza was excellent! Glad we stopped in.
