What a little slice of delicious, vintage yet fresh heaven. Every inch has been transformed into the most welcoming atmosphere topped off by the best staff. And that’s all before you get to the food! Sweet treat or a quick meal the taste and prices are perfect. Her custom cakes are award worthy. I highly recommend this small town, big presentation stop for anyone passing close by.

First time trying this little place and first impression was holy nostalgia because my goodness the decor is amazing 👏 it almost makes you feel like you stepped into a time capsule with some of the old articles and photos on the walls but second impression was regarding the food. I went with a cookies and cream cookie but could not eat the whole thing it was just so sweet and nice. I also got the burrito plate meal with fruit and they use fresh fruit and the burrito was very delicious even though I wasn't able to eat the whole thing. Pricing is good since they make everything in house and you can see directly into the kitchen which I think is clean. Owner was very nice. I would love to come again for more goodies.

Patty Cakes Bakery has become one of the best additions to the heart of Montpelier along with other small businesses! I am always greeted no more than one step into the bakery, with big smiles and exceptional service. Taryn runs a very well managed shop and maintains her cool even in rough situations, one of which I personally witnessed. And I applaud her for such standards! She is constantly trying to make everyone happy and please people even though there are only so many hours in the day (which may be her biggest flaw). I fully recommend Patty Cakes any time I get a chance and will continue to do so in the years to come. What a great addition to Montpelier!

I’m leaving this review based on my direct experience working with this business for an event. From the moment my mother and I walked into the store, the vibe was immediately off. Upon seeing us, the owner went straight to the back. I initially gave the benefit of the doubt and assumed she would come out shortly to speak with me about the cake and cupcakes for our event—especially since details about the cupcake design had never been finalized. I had been told I would be contacted on Thursday to confirm everything, so I waited patiently and did not reach out again. When my mother and I approached the counter and asked to speak with her, she shouted from the back that she was too busy to speak with us, even briefly. 10 out of 10, this place is absolutely divine. The cookies are so freaking good and I love the turkey bacon ranch panini. This place has become the crown jewel of this town since opening. I always look forward to having the sweets in there. This place and the owner deserve all the hype they get ❤️
