JJ Winns Restaurant & Lounge

Good food especially for the area, service was very good, and the atmosphere was great. They had live music on the Friday that I visited. The Cuban sandwich I got was pretty good. French onion soup is great, and their fries are also very good.

We usually have a great dining experience, but last night was the exception. I’m writing this review, to bring this matter to the management ‘s attention. We both ordered clam chowder off of the menu and I’m not sure what they served us?! It was Luke warm and inedible! There were no clams or potatoes…nothing that I remotely recognized. It was a cross between gravy and brown (yes, brown) lumpy sludge. This was not the clam chowder that they serve on their salad bar….or clam chowder at all! It was so disappointing!

Megan was such a sweetheart, she served me as soon as I sat down. It came out super fast, ambiance is nice. The wings were hot, not very flavorful though. I ordered based off a picture I saw in previous reviews but I should’ve been more specific because they look way different.

Our first time visiting. The service was fast and efficient. The cheese curds were great! The Caesar salads were quite good. The steak was also done well. We'll be back!

Good variety, good tasting dishes, good portions and good value. What more can you ask for on a road trip roll of the dice?! Convenient off and on location and better than any fast food stop! Club sandwich was the winner for me.
