Parkside Cafe

Love this place. My go to when I dont want to cook. Everything tastes amazing. Highly recommend the daily specials and the salad bar is great. Say hello to Ms. Shirley she is a great waitress.

A family restaurant with a weekday special. There were multiple items on the menu, so if the daily special wasn't your thing, there were other options. Everyone agreed the food was good as well as the service and price. We were visiting relatives in North Carolina who seemed to live back in the wherevers, and had to drive 30 minutes to eat. They said they don't eat out much. No wonder! Still a nice restaurant and we enjoyed the food as well as the visit. Needless to say we are city folks. Kudos for GPS.

Update: Great service. Today I got the spaghetti with the one trip salad bar. The noodles were sauced well. The salad bar is a small one, but has enough items to make a good salad. I left vety satisfied. My friend got chicken salad sandwich and fries. Another update: Burger is still good and I had chicken livers which were crispy outside and tender inside. My sides were butterbeans and collards which tasted like home cooking. Update: Still some great home style cooking. Family and I ate there. The hush puppies were hot and fresh. I got the country style steak with peppers, onions and gravy. The steak was tender and juicy. I would have cooked the peppers just a little more but they were still good. Parkside did the catering for my wedding and it was perfect! They were so nice and helpful and the food was delicious! Had so many people say how much they loved the food. The venue loved working with them as well.

Ive have h ad many of their choices. I especially love the fried oysters basket. The chicken livers,pork chops,turkey dressing,and all the vegetables are good except the squash and oniions(it tastes like it has sugar in it).
