Customer Reviews
Small place in a strip mall with an old school feal. Went at 5:00pm on a Monday and was the only person there. Not sure why as the food was great. Got the combination plate Combination Plate (Pastitso and chicken) that came with Greek salad and a side (I got the green beans instead of the rice). Also got the baklava which was great, and a large iced tea. Very flavorful food and I would definitely come back. Even the ice tea was good. Pricee was bad for the amount and quality ($26 total with taxes)
This review is tough so I’m going stick to just facts not feelings and opinions. The food is great. If I never had to step in and see the restaurant I would give 5 stars across the board. The food is delicious! The service was not good, it took about 45 minutes to get food and there were only ~8 other people in the restaurant. Hygiene is lacking. The kitchen is open to everyone to see. Unfortunately, the cooks don’t use this feature to their advantage. Instead they show how they don’t use gloves and touch raw meat with their hands. When I ordered, the cook put two burgers on the grill to cook and then came over to take my order. He took my card to pay for my order and didn’t wash his hands before or after any of this. After paying I immediately took out purell to clean my hands and my c
Meh. My extended family loves this place, but I honestly don’t see the appeal. The overall cleanliness was a big turnoff and appetite killer. I ordered the chicken “kabob” with spinach rice and a salad. The so-called kabob wasn’t actually a kabob—just a couple pieces of chicken tender arranged to resemble one. The flavor was decent, but the condition of the restaurant overshadowed the meal. For the prices they charge, it was also disappointing to be served on plastic plates with plastic utensils. But looking at how dirty the place is, perhaps disposable wares is a good thing. There’s a Taziki’s down the street that’s far better in my opinion—cleaner, better flavor overall and they serve the food on real plates with proper silverware. I doubt I'll ever go back to this place.
Very cozy and friendly atmosphere! I stopped by after a babysitting job nearby and got the Philly cheesesteak. It was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious!!! Definitely check it out if you’re in the area ☺️
Great family owned business. Food is incredible! One of my top three favorite restaurants in Birmingham. Doesn’t matter what you order it’s gonna be good. Highly recommend.
