Customer Reviews
I tried Pita Stop for the first time today and it was so so yummy! I almost finished my platter but it was too big (that’s a really good thing) we got the salmon dinner plate and catch of the day (grouper special)! Mr. Jamal and Zayd were both very sweet 🤍 we will be back :)
Authentic, Fresh, and Full of Flavor! The Pita Stop is a true gem in Vestavia Hills! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the mouthwatering aroma of authentic Mediterranean cuisine. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful — the lamb gyro and chicken kabobs are must-tries, and the hummus is some of the best in town. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the service is fast and friendly. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or enjoying a relaxed dinner, The Pita Stop delivers every time. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious, homemade Mediterranean food!
Shawarma was excellent. Kafka soso. Salads are a great disappointment. This is a Mediterranean restaurant, so offer a great Greek salad! Also disappointed that so few meals include hummus. Server was good & attentive. Outdoor seating was very nice
Recently celebrated a family birthday here. We enjoyed a great evening and recommend The Pita Stop Express for any occasion. The restaurant itself is quite nice and appealing. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was excellent; our food came out fast for a table of 7. The menu offers something for everyone. I ordered the Kafta Kabob Plate ( Lebanese style meatballs topped with melted provolone.)- a house specialty dish. Not only was it delicious, it was pleasing to the eye and appetite. A lovely dish! Hummus was fresh and tasty. We will definitely plan another visit soon!
Jamal does a fabulous job running The Pita Stop. I had the opportunity to be there for an event/party, and the entire staff was amazing at accommodating the group, as well as providing great menu recommendations. There was not a food item that I tried and did not like (including new foods or those out of my comfort zone). The overall service and atmosphere is excellent, and I already know this will be one of my go-to spots now! The food is authentic and fresh; it was one of the first times in a long time that I ate so much food from a restaurant and did not feel sick afterwards due to cheap ingredients, preservatives, etc. Recommendations: Cauliflower, Philly Cheese Steak, Wild Rice (with house dressing- trust me!), Kafta Specialty Hummus, Grilled Shrimp.
