Visited for a celebratory gathering & enjoyed the ambiance, staff & the food. Our server was Diamond—she was very welcoming and personable. We did have an allergy at our table but Diamond made sure the kitchen staff were aware. The manager actually came out to our table to discuss the procedure and food handling—very thorough. I was impressed! I’ve dined at other establishments when guests had allergies and did not receive experience this level of hospitality. The food was delectable—rich with flavor! Tried the lump crab spinach dip, shrimp fondu, their newest entree—the crispy salmon and had cheesecake for dessert. The GOOD, the BAD, and the UGLY: First the GOOD…the food was very good. We had the 16oz. ribeye steak, the seafood platter, the crab/spinach dip, and the mozzarella sticks. The BAD…The only dish which was disappointing was the seafood platter… although they overwhelmed with the two large catfish fillets, they UNDERPERFORMED with the portions of shrimp and oysters. I think they hope customers don’t notice the disparity because the plate is FULL of catfish and fries. Elijah H truly made our experience exceptional from the moment we walked in. My sister, friend, and I had a specific seating request, and Elijah went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted without hesitation. His positive attitude and willingness to accommodate us immediately set the tone for a great visit. What really stood out was his attention to detail and care for the environment. He noticed trash around our seating area and personally came over to clean the floor, making sure our space was comfortable and spotless. This was a planned luncheon for my husband's 60th birthday. It was chaotic with he and I coming from NC to celebrate with family. I wanted to book a room and reserve a table, but wasn't able to do so because I couldn't get a confirmation on the number of people. I got to the restaurant and explained this to the ladies up front and they listened to my plea for help and jumped into action! They were warm, accommodating, and sincere. We were greeted right off the bat. Thinking, ok. This is going to be good. We get seated, took forever to get our waitress to come to the table. She comes, greets us. My silverware was nasty. She brought out my tea, the spoon to the unsweet tea was nasty with looked like white crusty towel stuck on it. So, not only was my silverware nasty, the tea was also. We get our food, yes it’s fried but you can drain the grease before delivering it to the table, nope. Didn’t happen. Here’s the slop of the grease left behind. Sad thing is, a Manager never apologized or anything. A sorry would have been sufficient. Anyways, would I recommend this location??? Nope!! I would drive another 30 mins to the one by the Galleria and call it done!!
